iNuestras Mascotas! Parte II

Gracías a Deborah, una de las mamás de Diego y Sofia, por compartir con nosotros fotos de su viaje a Arequipa, Peru. La familia celebró la naturaleza en que se divirieron en unos paisajes muy lindos y vieron muchos animales distinctos.

K1 - presentación de cómo demostramos aprecio por la naturaleza
El viernes los niños de K1 hicieron una presentación de cómo demostramos aprecio por la naturaleza.
On Friday the K1 children did a presentation about how we demonstrate appreciation for nature.
Los niños se separaron en pequeños grupos e indagaron en libros, la computadora y haciéndoles preguntas a los adultos en la escuela y en casa acerca de diferentes ecosistemas. Después, cada grupo creó una presentación para demostrar su aprecio por ese ecosistema. Todos hicieron hermosos pósteres de sus ecosistemas, y se disfrazaron para la presentación. Además:
The children separated into small groups and inquired in books, the computer and asking adults questions at school and at home about different ecosystems. Afterwards, each group created a presentation to show the children's appreciation for that ecosystem. They all made beautiful posters of their ecosystems, and they dressed up for the presentation. Also:
Ben y Chiara indagaron acerca del desierto, y demostraron su aprecio por su ecosistema recitando poemas que escribieron ellos, y haciendo una pequeña obra de teatro representando iguanas verdes.
Ben and Chiara inquired about the desert, and showed their appreciation for their ecosystem by reciting poems they wrote themselves, and acting out a short theater piece about green iguanas.
Benjamín, Taylor y Niari le cantaron al desierto. Taylor y Niari eran bonitas princesas que visitaban un desierto y acariciaban a un pequeño ratón del desierto, que era Benjamín.
Benjamin, Taylor and Niari sung to the desert. Taylor and Niari were pretty princesses visiting a desert and petting a little desert mouse, who was Benjamin.
Alana, Atticus y Samantha S. eran seres vivos que viven bajo la tierra. Nos demostraron cómo comían las raíces y escarbaban la tierra con los ojos un poco cerrados.
Alana, Atticus and Samantha S. were living beings that live under ground. They showed how they ate roots and dug the dirt with slightly shut eyes.
Sofía y Samantha P. escribieron y cantaron juntas una canción sobre el campo y sus bellas flores. Trajeron rosas de verdad y sus bonitos vestidos. Anila les había ayudado a hacer el póster, también.
Sofia and Samantha P. wrote and sung a song about the fields and their beautiful flowers together. They brought real roses and their beautiful dresses. Anila had helped them make the poster, too.
Rachel, Avena y Emma nos leyeron lo que aprendieron de su ecosistema, una jungla con una catarata, y demostraron lo impresionantes que son los jaguares. Las tres niñas disfrazadas de jaguares rugieron y asustaron al público.
Rachel, Avena and Emma read what they had learned about their ecosystems to us, a jungle with a waterfall, and showed us how impressive jaguars are. The three girls, dressed up as jaguars, roared and scared the audience.
Max, Simón y Julián nos demostraron, haciendo volteretas, que los murciélagos duermen alrevés en las cuevas. Cuando salió el sol, se quedaron dormidos.
Max, Simon and Julian showed us, by doing cartwheels, that bats sleep upsidedown in caves. When the sun came out, they fell asleep.
Los niños insistieron en que tenía que haber entradas para la presentación, y también una subasta. El papá de Benjamín ganó, y su premio fue ser el sol que sale al final de la presentación.
The children insisted that there had to be tickets for the presentation, and also a raffle. Benjamin's dad won, and his prize was to be the sun that comes out at the end of the presentation.
Después de los poemas, las canciones y otras maneras de demostrar aprecio por la naturaleza, los niños contestaron preguntas del público, y así concluyó nuestra presentación.
After the poems, songs and other ways to show appreciation for nature, the children took questions from the audience, and that is how our show concluded.
Se sintieron orgullosos sabiendo que ahora todos los que vieron su presentación cuidarían más la naturaleza. Felicidades a los niños de Kinder por ser tan audaces y reflexivos.
They felt proud knowing that everyone who saw the show would now look after nature more.
Congratulations to the children in Kindergarten for being such risk-takers and so reflective.

Ayer tuvimos otra presentación, los niños escogieron otro ecosistema el cual existe en todo el mundo "Bajo la tierra".
Eliana e Elan crearon una obra con títeres y nos enseñaron que debemos respetar a los gusanos y que ellos solamente salen cuando llueve.
"Hay muchas clases de gusanos pero realmente no sabemos cuantos"
There are lot worms but really don't know how many.
" También hay serpientes abajo de la tierra"
There are snakes under ground
"Los gusanos comen hojas y su boca esta en el lado mas grueso de cuerpo y tienen cinco corazones"
The worms eat leave and their mouths are in on side of their body, they have five hearts
"Abajo de la tierra también hay agua"
Under ground we can find water.
"También podemos encontrar mariquitas, ratones, conejos y hormigas"
We can find ladybugs, mice and rats, rabbits and ants.
